Quick touches with the inside and outside of your feet. Keep your toes pointed and work in a zig zag pattern up the pitch.
Roll the ball diagonally across your body with the sole of the foot stepping with the other foot to let the ball go through the legs. Immediately catch the ball with the sole of the other foot and go back. Repeat in a running motion working on balance, rhythm and close control.
Improve your balance with the ball mastery exercise. With the ball in front of you, extend the leg and bring the ball back with the sole of the foot. Touch the ball with the inside of the foot pushing it behind the standing foot.Touch the ball forward in front with your laces. Repeat up the pitch.
This exercise is all about quick touches! Take 3 touches with the outside of the foot and then 1 with the inside of the other foot. Make sure the touches are close together and work in a zig zag pattern up the pitch.

Explode out with outside of the foot. Ensure the ball the is rolling closely in front of while performing the steps
Coming at an angle towards the defender, roll the ball across the front of the body, step over with the same foot and take take the ball with the outside of the opposite foot. Explode away.
Take small touches across the body approaching the defender.Step over with the same foot faking to defender down the line and explode away. Ensure you are close enough to the defender to give your fake the best chance to succeed.
A simple but very effective dribbling skill used extensively by Wayne Rooney. As you approach the defender tapping the ball with the inside of the foot in a hopping motion, make a big fake to take the defender down the line. Then immediately explode inside one movement and race away.
Set up a square with 4 cones with a target defender in the middle. Then attack the defender from all angles of the square performing a Ronaldo step over. Fake to come in and then cut away from the defender. When running straight at the defender cut away at angles to wards the corners of the square.
A multiple outcome combination featuring 3 skills. Set up a rectangle with size cones and a defender in the middle. Play a 1-2 driven pass against the wall. Receive on the back foot, turn and drive at the far corner cone performing a Maradona. Next, drive at the opposite center cone and do another Maradona before driving to the top opposite cone. A final Maradona before performing a reverse Cruyff. You should be facing the defender and start driving towards performing a double Ronaldo exploding out and shooting on goal.
A practice modelling the great work of Eden Hazard. Set out a 6 cone rectangle with a defender in the middle. Perform a 1-2 driven pass against the wall by the goal receiving on your back foot. Explode diagonally to the first cone and perform a double outside cut and start driving towards the opposite center cone. Repeat the double outside cut till the top cone after which do a Cruyff turn driving back towards the defender. A quick Ronaldo and shoot. Work off both feet
Work in a line between 2 cones. Tap the ball to the side, head up and fake to kick. Cut the ball with inside of the foot rolling the ball across your body. Repeat again with the other foot. Accentuate the fake by using your arms,
Set up 2 cones and stand in the center about 1 meter behind. Tap the ball to the side at angle towards one of the cones, head up and fake to kick. Cut the ball with inside of the foot rolling the ball across your body at an angle in front to the cut shape is like a "V". Repeat again with the other foot. Accentuate the fake by using your arms,
Set up 2 cones in a line. Tap the ball to the side towards one of the cones. As you reach the cone cut the ball with the outside of your foot so you are 180 degrees behind. Make your way to the other side and repeat again with the other foot. Make the cut sharp and explode away!
Set up 2 cones in a line and start 1 meter behind in the center. Tap the ball towards one of the cones. As you reach the cone cut the ball with the outside of your foot to stop it and quickly cut again forward and diagonally. Work off both feet and make the cuts sharp and explode away!
One of the most iconic turns in football. Drive at pace with a laces dribble. Lift your head and fake to kick using your arm. Push the ball behind you with the inside of the foot and explode away. Repeat on the other foot.
A turn made famous by Zinedine Zidane. Roll the ball across the front of your body. Touch the ball with inside of your other foot diagonally under your body. Work off both feet and try with a moving ball also.
Dribble forward with your laces. A big fake to kick and plant your foot next to the ball. Bring the other foot behind the body and get the laces on top of the ball. Push the ball back out at 180 degrees in the opposite direction to which you were facing and explode away. Work off both feet.
Set up 6 cones in a zig zag formation. Starting at the base, drive in to the first cone, roll the ball across your body and plant your foot driving with the outside of the opposite foot to the next cone on the other side. Continue working up the zig zag.
Set up 7 cones in a zig zag formation. Starting at the base, drive into the first cone and first outside cut to stop the ball. Very quickly touch again with the outside exploding to the next cone on the other side. Try to make the touch at least 1 metre and continue working up the zig zag.
Set up 6 cones in a zig zag formation. Starting at the base, drive in to the first cone, cut the ball across your body and plant your foot driving with the outside of the opposite foot to the next cone on the other side. Continue working up the zig zag.
Set up 7 cones in a zig zag formation. Starting at the base, drive into the first cone, roll back and touch out exploding to the next cone on the other side. Try to make the touch at least 1 metre and continue working up the zig zag.
This ball mastery and movement development exercise works on 3 skills all performed around a cone in a "V" shape. Opener, Jump Back and Double Touch on done on both sides. Take a look at each skill individually first before coming to the combination. As well as ball control, focus on big movement of the hips.
Working between 2 cones in a straight line. Work side to side, inside on one foot and outside of the other. Ensure toes are pointing down and move your feet quickly. Challenge is to remain on the line and get into a good rhythm.
Set up 2 cones 10 yards apart 2 yards away from a wall. At the top of the first cone, perform an inside then outside with the same foot bouncing against the wall at an angle to receive on the other side of the cone. Receive 1 touch behind the standing foot into space exploding towards the other cone. Drive at pace between the cones.
This ball mastery exercise involves working in a straight line between 2 cones. Take two touches with the outside of the foot, then a double touch with a big final touch. Can you fake to kick before the double touch?
This ball mastery drill has three elements and involves working on a straight line between 2 cones. Inside then outside of the foot with quick touches followed by a step over over turn. Touch away with the other foot and quickly get your body square with the ball and repeat. Remember the foot does not touch the ground during the in/out touch and ensure there is a big fake in the step over turn.
This ball mastery skill involves quick feet and coordination. Roll your foot over the top of the ball and cut to the other foot. Immediately bang ball off both feet.Try and get a rhythm going and the key is positive big touches.
This ball mastery skill combination brings together 7 core skills and effective drill. Make sure you work on the individual techniques first. Heal Toe, Outside Cut, Step Over Turn, Opener, Jump Back, Maradona, Double Ronaldo.
The ball mastery practice works around one cone in a "V" shape. Bring your foot across your body on top of the the ball moving it towards you. Touch out with the outside of the same foot and repeat with the other foot. Work both sides equally and don't forget to rotate your body.
This passing practice involves just 3 cones set 5 yards away from a wall. A series of exercises involving passing and receiving off the wall around and between the cones. A quality first touch is needed to get across the cones and make sure you use both feet. Increase or decrease the distance of the cones from the wall to make it more or less difficult.

One of the more advanced ball mastery practices. Roll the ball and turn. Catch the ball with the other foot and roll out exploding towards it and accelerating away.
A quick fire movement of the feet to lose the opposing player. Roll foot over the top of the ball, cut with outside of the same foot and explode away. Ensure to practice on the weaker foot.
A dribbling ball mastery practice requiring a fake, deft touch and turn. Step over the ball touching it with the trailing foot. Cut with the outside foot and explode away.
Drive through the middle of the ball with the laces. Get your body over the ball but do not follow through planting the non kicking foot next to the ball. Extension is to try and loft the ball.
Drive towards the defender and when close take a big step across the ball and explode with the outside of the other foot in the other direction. Most effective when coming in at an angle making the disguise as big as possible.
Step towards the ball as it comes towards you letting the ball run across your body. Unbalance the defender and explode away. Use your body to protect the ball and make the disguise as big a possible.
