Place the mannequin or obstacle in front of the goal with enough space to scoop over. Whilst the ball is on the move, get your foot right underneath the ball. Scoop up and follow through. Work on both feet.
Place the mannequin or cone around 2 metres from the wall. Pass with the inside of your foot and receive with the inside of the opposite foot touching it around the mannequin. Pass again with the opposing foot and repeat. Increase or decrease the distance between the mannequin and wall for difficulty.
Place the mannequin or cone around 2 metres from the wall. Before you receive make a big fake using your arms. Pass again with the opposing foot and repeat. Increase or decrease the distance between the mannequin and wall for difficulty.
As partner passes you the ball, receive the ball square and outside cut back in. Drive into the middle of the pitch and play an outside foot 1-2 around the mannequin. Drive again to receive and play a first time pass to the target.
As your playing partner passes, stand in front of the mannequin side on preparing to receive the ball. Keep the ball safe side. Just before receiving, take a step to one side and then pivot and spin in the opposite direction with the ball. Explode and shoot. The key is the timing of the fake. Step one way and then immediately spin the other taking the ball with you. Work off both feet.
This passing practice involves just 3 cones set 5 yards away from a wall. A series of exercises involving passing and receiving off the wall around and between the cones. A quality first touch is needed to get across the cones and make sure you use both feet. Increase or decrease the distance of the cones from the wall to make it more or less difficult.
