Play a 1-2 with the wall, pivot and let the ball run across your body. Receive on the back foot and explode with 1 big touch through the gates before shooting with laces into the goal.

Drive through the middle of the ball with the laces. Get your body over the ball but do not follow through planting the non kicking foot next to the ball. Extension is to try and loft the ball.

This requires a larger space as the touches are bigger and require running with pace. It involves rolling the ball across your body exploding through a gate and shooting with laces into the goal. Multiple outcomes to mimic a game situation.

The ball mastery practice works around one cone in a “V” shape. Bring your foot across your body on top of the the ball moving it towards you. Touch out with the outside of the same foot and repeat with the other foot. Work both sides equally and don’t forget to rotate your body.

Set up 2 cones 10 yards apart 2 yards away from a wall. At the top of the first cone, perform an inside then outside with the same foot bouncing against the wall at an angle to receive on the other side of the cone. Receive 1 touch behind the standing foot into space exploding towards the other cone. Drive at pace between the cones.

Working between 2 cones in a straight line. Work side to side, inside on one foot and outside of the other. Ensure toes are pointing down and move your feet quickly. Challenge is to remain on the line and get into a good rhythm.

Improve your balance with the ball mastery exercise. With the ball in front of you, extend the leg and bring the ball back with the sole of the foot. Touch the ball with the inside of the foot pushing it behind the standing foot.Touch the ball forward in front with your laces. Repeat up the pitch.

This exercise is all about quick touches! Take 3 touches with the outside of the foot and then 1 with the inside of the other foot. Make sure the touches are close together and work in a zig zag pattern up the pitch.
