Step towards the ball as it comes towards you letting the ball run across your body. Unbalance the defender and explode away. Use your body to protect the ball and make the disguise as big a possible.

Punch Pass

Drive through the middle of the ball with the laces. Get your body over the ball but do not follow through planting the non kicking foot next to the ball. Extension is to try and loft the ball.

One and a Half Step Overs

One and a half Step Overs

A practice which does not involve touching the ball but a combination of a fake and body movements to lose the opposing player. Roll the ball ahead of yourself. Perform a big fake and step over the ball. Step the same foot back over the ball immediately and explode out in the same direction.

3 Cone Passing

This passing practice involves just 3 cones set 5 yards away from a wall. A series of exercises involving passing and receiving off the wall around and between the cones. A quality first touch is needed to get across the cones and make sure you use both feet. Increase or decrease the distance of the cones from the wall to make it more or less difficult.

Ronaldo Square

Set up a square with 4 cones with a target defender in the middle. Then attack the defender from all angles of the square performing a Ronaldo step over. Fake to come in and then cut away from the defender. When running straight at the defender cut away at angles to wards the corners of the square.
