Pirlo passing practice

Set up 2 cones about 1 metre apart next to the wall and 2 goals/gates on the opposite side. Make an angled pass against the wall aiming for the 2 cone target. Move into a position to receive the ball on your back foot. Rotate your body to face the pitch. Make a positive touch with your back foot into the middle of the pitch and make a driven pass to one of the targets on the other side.

Drive down the line at pace, fake to cross and do a Cruyff turn followed immediately with a whipped cross on the opposite foot. Ensure you have a big touch on the Cruyff to drive onto the cross. Practice with both feet.

Set multiple cones 12 yards apart. Explode down the line and take just 1 touch between the each cone. Touch the ball out with your laces and drive with speed and control. Work on both feet and aim to run at maximum speed.

Set multiple cones 12 yards apart. Explode down the line and take just 1 touch between the each cone. Touch the ball out with your laces and drive with speed and control. On the final cone, touch the ball out with your laces and deliver the cross. Work on both feet and don’t lose any of your speed until the ball has left your foot.
