This ball mastery and movement development exercise works on 3 skills all performed around a cone in a “V” shape. Opener, Jump Back and Double Touch on done on both sides. Take a look at each skill individually first before coming to the combination. As well as ball control, focus on big movement of the hips.

A standing practice to get those feet moving. Tap the ball with the toes of each foot moving to the side of the ball slightly in front. Then tap the ball with the foot furthest away behind the standing leg. Then work your way back across repeating the motion. Try to keep the ball still and just move the body building up speed and rhythm.

Learn the 1st basic dribbling technique. Dribble with your laces keeping the ball close to your foot and try to keep you head up. Move in a straight line up the pitch and return working on the other foot.
